Chick Transport Vehicle - Ventilation System

The critical factor in chick transport isn't temperature (though it matters) — it's air quality. Tens of thousands of chicks in a sealed body consume oxygen and produce CO₂ fast. Get ventilation wrong and accurate temperature control won't save the load.

Cross-Ventilation System

Front air inlets + rear louver door. Open the front inlets and the rear louver panel, and air flows front-to-back through the entire body. This is the primary ventilation method — zero energy consumption, driven by vehicle motion and wind pressure.

Roof Exhaust System

Exhaust fans on both sides of the roof actively extract air. At highway speed, the low-pressure zone above the roof naturally draws air out, with fans boosting the effect. Fans work independently when the vehicle is stationary.

T-Slot Floor Ventilation

Channels in the floor let air enter from below, pass upward through gaps in stacked chick boxes, and exit at the roof. This delivers more uniform ventilation than side-wall openings alone — every level and every box gets fresh air.

Side Door Ventilation

Open a side door halfway and it becomes a large ventilation port. Multiple side doors serve a second purpose: balance temperature front-to-rear by opening forward doors less and rear doors more.
