Product Description
Chick Transport Vehicle - Body Materials & Manufacturing
The chick transport vehicle body isn't a standard steel box. The core structure is FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) skin with insulation core — same construction as refrigerated truck bodies.

Two Manufacturing Processes
FRP Sandwich Lamination (Dry Bonding)
FRP inner and outer skins with pre-cut insulation board in between, bonded with structural adhesive and pressed into shape. The advantage is flexibility: insulation thickness and density can be adjusted per customer requirements. Different sections (front wall, side walls, roof, floor) can use different insulation specifications for custom builds.
Polyurethane Integral Foaming
Liquid polyurethane is injected between the inner and outer skins and foams inside the mold in one shot — seamless, no joints. Benefits: no thermal bridge in the insulation layer, better thermal performance than sandwich construction. Higher mold cost, more suitable for standardized batch production.
How to Choose
If insulation is critical and the vehicle runs northern winter routes: go with foaming. If you need custom structure (special dimensions, cutouts, openings): sandwich lamination offers more flexibility. Most customers can use either — recommendation depends on budget and operating conditions.
Body wall thickness is comparable to standard refrigerated trucks. FRP skin resists corrosion naturally, unlike metal bodies that rust. Service life depends on usage intensity and maintenance — five-plus years is common with proper care.
